Trip Overview
Begin your adventure with a pickup at Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck and launch from scenic Batsto Lake. Paddlers will enjoy a peaceful paddle across the lake before portaging around the dam within Historic Batsto Village. One of our guides will assist renters with walking their boats around the dam. From there, guests will explore a quiet, remote stretch of pristine waters as they make their way out to the Mullica River. This rarely paddled route offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
Please Note: This is not a paddle for beginners. Some basic kayaking skills are required as you may need to manuever around sunken logs and natural obstacles.

- Dry clothes stored in your vehicle in case you get wet during your journey
- A waterproof bag to safeguard items you want to keep dry. Available to rent or purchase in our shop prior to your trip

What To Know
Kayak Minimum Age Rules:
- Single Kayak: Minimum age 10 (to paddle independently)
- Tandem Kayak: Minimum age 5 (with an adult in the rear seat).
- All Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+).
Additional Safety Measures
- Parental/Guardian Waiver: A signed waiver is required for all minors participating.
- Safety Briefing: We provide a clear, age-appropriate safety briefing for all paddlers.
- Supervision Ratio: We recommend one adult per child under 12 for additional safety.
We Reserve the Right:
- To deny service to any group not complying with these age and safety requirements.
- To make exceptions in special cases with prior approval from management.

Recommended for advanced paddlers, this trip begins at Constable Bridge and ends at Sweetwater Marina and Riverdeck. This 6 mile trip can take 4-6 hours depending on stops.

Recommended fort intermediate paddlers, this trip begins at the Mullica River Canoe Landing and ends at the beautiful Sweetwater Marina & Riverdeck. This 4 mile journey starts near the historic Batsto Village and can take between 2-4 hours depending on stops.
